Recipe: Muesli Cookies

I was experimenting in my kitchen yesterday and I'm telling you, these cookies are delicious goodness. I made four trays of them for my friends and they disappeared on me 0_0 I tried only, like, three:S
Time to make a new batch, don't you think? Here's the recipe:

(Makes about 50)

230 g butter
90 g caster sugar
100 g dark brown sugar
5 eggs
5 ml vanilla essence
350 g plain flour
5 g soda powder
a pinch of salt
15 g oat cereal
15 g ground cacao nibs
15 g raisins
80 g finely chopped dark chocolate
20 g cacao powder
20 g chopped roasted hazelnuts

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Cover the baking tray with baking paper. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and both sugars together until light and fluffy.

In another bowl, mix the egg and the vanilla essence, then gradually beat into the butter mixture. Sift over the flour, soda, salt and stir. Add the cereals, cacao nibs, raisins, pieces of dark chocolate, cacao powder, and hazelnuts. Mix to combine well.

Place heaped teaspoonfuls of the dough 5 cm apart on the baking paper. Bake the oven until lightly colored, about 15-20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

These cookies are a great comfort food, because you can tell yourself that because there's oat cereal, raisins and dark chocolate in them, they are actually healthy, so you can eat a whole bunch of them.

Open Stage at Zlati Zob

Yesterday, I went to the Open Stage Night at Zlati Zob, an ethnic bar in Ljubljana. The Open Stage Night was for Oriental and Tribal Fusion Dancers of all levels and the heat was on!

I love belly dance, I think that there's something magical about it. The women look so feminine and confident. And every time when I see a really good belly dancer performing on stage, doing the shimmies, undulations, belly rolls and my personal favorite - the sidewinder, completely lost in her own world, where there's nothing left to be said, I'm like WOW! This is it, this is what life is all about.

I was enjoying the evening so much, I got lost and I got found - in the magical world of belly dance.

The act started with Vesna Zorman from the Ambrosia Dance Company.
Gorgeous performance, gorgeous costume!

The Black Onyx Tribe did a marvelous job performing on stage. Juicy!

Don't you just love the oriental dance? :)

Anja Kucler from the Black Onxy Tribe was shining like a star

The Zuzanas from Zagreb brought positive vibes on stage

The girls from Bela Krajina brought Spring to the foggy November evening

The Ambrosia Dance Company was turning up the heat on stage

Ana Perčič kicking ass on stage

Have a wonderful weekend,

ARTISH revisited

I really, really missed my ARTISH arts and crafts fare:) They are always so colorful and full of positive energy, so I always take my time to just soak all the creative energy in: I always have a chat with the designers, cause it's just amazing how many great designs they come up with, man, I have a cup of coffee with my friends, contemplate the wonderful ideas, and I smile. I always smile:)

This time the ARTISH arts and crafts fare was taking place in KINO ŠIŠKA culture center. It was a really cold and rainy day outside, but IN the KINO, it was bubbling with new ideas, friendly people, popping with colors. Sadly there weren't that many people due to the lousy weather, but we managed to create a small island of positivity and creativity on just a few square meters:)

Here are some snapshots from the ARTISH fare:

UršaNina slippers are the best:)

MetkaCvetka baby toys, you know, the ones you hang above the cradle for you baby to enjoy - so cute!

Katjas Dreamland  cute trolls, you just want to take each and every one home!

I took a few photos of these guys cause they remind me a little bit of Gizmo from the Gremlins:)

Meta's recipes  are always full of very kinky things:)

I really liked this silver ring:)

I loved, loved, loved these desings from PolonaP, very original, and Polona was very sweet:)

It was a really cool and enriching experience, I only wish that we had more art fares like these in Slovenia.

That's all from me guys,

have a really nice Monday and a successful week,

hugs and kisses,
