Once upon a time, in a faraway land called Slovenia (that is NOT Slovakia or Slavonia. Or Belarus. Or Russia for that matter) six young maidens met. These young maidens possessed special powers. They could transform the utmost ordinary things into beautiful pieces of art and then they put them on the the thing called ''interneth'', for the most ordinary mortals to see.
They spoke the language of art, fashion and beauty (and also a bit of German, English and French). They were bound together by the bonds of sisterhood, which was strengthened by the magic caffeinated potion they drank as they chatted in yonder land, the land of Slovenia.
The potion was truly magical, as it loosened their tongues and got them talking about such matters as hello cotton, getting sponsors for their blogs and the best online shops. Needless to say, the meeting of the sisterhood of the interneth was truly magnificent and a great success. The photo of the meeting is yonder below.

Spikes 'n Studs 'n Pearlstrings
As I was window-shopping in Vienna I came across a rather imaginative array of shoes. I would expect such shoes to be displayed in an alternative shop but these were carefully arranged next to grandma's loafers and maryjanes. It's happened. Last year there were studs and this year it's spikes turn to mainstream! I'm not sure what to think of them, I mean studs are cool, but spikes are a bit trickier to wear and get away with them. You'll see what I mean.

I don't know why but I just keep imagining my grandma wearing this beige number...

Note: Beware of the women who wear pearls and golden spikes at the same time:)
You've been warned.
If it came down to a fight and you kicked somebody with these shoes,
they would most likely bleed to death. Just saying.
The Jeffrey Campbell spiked maryjanes. Well, sort of. If they came in red they would be appropriate for the punk rock version of the Wizard of Oz. And Dorothy would wear a nose ring, made the lion her new bitch and Toto would get eaten in the end.
I don't know why but I just keep imagining my grandma wearing this beige number...

The Vienna Street Style
This weekend I was busy taking photos in the wind city. No, I am not talking about Chicago. I am talking about the city that never sleeps. And it's not New York either. It's Vienna:)
I love Vienna. It's so romantic, it has this... old school vibe that I just love. And when I say old school, I mean really old school, more like Habsburger Monarchy old school. The Mixture of Habsburger and Jugendstil buildings, the really cool museums and art exhibitions, the old cafes with waiters wearing black bow ties and crisp white shirts... everything in Austria is so clean, and Eco-friendly and organized... I love it there.
This was my fourth visit to Vienna and I always find something new and exciting to look forward to until my next visit:)
I wish you guys a successful week!

Teja

The Ljubljana Street Style
Taking photos of interesting passers-by always gives me such a rush. I thing the best thing about fashion is street fashion, because it's wearable. It's practical. It's alive because it's beating in perfect sync with the rhythm of the pulsating streets, which is something I cannot really say for haute couture, as mush as I love it and enjoy all the fashion shows. I find the ''street models'' much more fascinating anyway. It's incredibly interesting what people put on, what they mix and match, how their clothes express who they are, how they are feeling. And after the photos are taken, I just want to stick around, chat with them some more, hear their stories. Is that weird?
These photos were taken today in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

Red Riding Hood
During my first photo shoot, it dawned upon me that it's okay not to have the faintest idea what you're doing and to just relax into it. Also, it really helps to have a supportive friend who gives you helpful tips. Thanks, M, you're the best!
Have a happy Tuesday!
