A little trip back to the socialist Yugoslavia:)

I can say without a doubt that ''TOZD'' is my new favourite cafe in  Ljubljana:) I love the interior design. I just... love everything about it - it's filled with vintage objects from the times of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, mostly from the 1950s and 1960s. The entire feel is really homey and it just takes me back to my childhood, before the times of the capitalism (yeah, for the ones who are reading this and are not from the former Yugoslavia countries - there is such a thing the times before the capitalism:))

By the way, for those who do not know what the acronym TOZD stands for - it stands for: Temeljna Organizacija Združenega Dela, which roughly translates onto The Basic Organisation of the Worker's Assemby:) Hell-o socialism;) hehe:)

The cartoon that you see on the blackboard is called ''La Linea''. It comes from Italy and and it was very popular in Yugoslavia. I used to watch it as a kid all the time:)

Who needs a cofee table if you got an old looking box thingy?

I love this shade of blue, goes so well with the warm tones of orange and terracota tiles

Remember these scales? There used to be a whole bunch of these on the market when I went shopping with my mom. So much funner then the electronic ones!

And in the end - why not? Let's play a tune or two;)

Hope you enjoyed this post,

The Front Row at Mojca Beseničar Spring/Summer 2012

Wednesday evening was a special evening for me, I got to sit in the first row of the Mojca Beseničar Spring/Summer 2012 collection:) I was very pleased with the show which started with a modern dance number that looked somewhat like this:

The guests, as you can see, weren't too impressed (but they did politely clap in the end;))

Then, the show started! These were some of my favourite pieces:

The designer Mojca Beseničar takes a bow. Bravo, Mojca! :)

Here are some details that have caught my eye at the fashion show:

All bags are by the our genius Marjeta Grošelj!:)

Hope you enjoyed this post:)

Random Pics

The time has come for me to start blogging again... I know, I know... for shame, Teja! But what could I do, I had no camera (my old one stayed in Sri Lanka) and the motherboard on my laptop is, well, mothereffing dead.

Now I have a brand new camera and I never leave home without it, so here are a bunch of photos that I had taken today. I went to see the Artist with my friend, it was really good, I had a latte in Lolita and I took some amazing pics of Ljubljana in the springtime.

Are you feeling the spring yet? :)

Take care,
