I think that silver jewelry is really big this season. Silver jewelry, well, any kind of jewelry can get tarnished with time, so I thought it would be a great idea to show you guys how I clean my silver jewelry. The best thing about this ''cleaning'' bit is that it is eco-friendly, bio-degradable and dead easy. I swear.
Here's what you'll need:
- silver foil
- a big glass bowl (it has to be made of glas)
- baking soda
1. Put the silver foil into the glass bowl, silver side up
2. Put the jewelry on the silver foil
3.Sprinkle soda powder on top
4. Pour boiling water on the jewelry
5.Wait 5 minutes. It's possible that the jewelry will start to slightly smell of rotten eggs. Don't worry that's just the tarnish. And I promise you that the smell is not so overwhelming that you would have to run out of the kitchen;)
6. Polish the jewelry with a soft cloth. And there you go:)
BEFORE (the butterfly is tarnished (brownish color) on the edges)
AFTER (the butterfly is squeaky clean:))
Hope you found this post helpful:)
