Product Review: L'Angelica

A really cool online beauty shop Bodizenska.si contacted me and asked me to write a review on three of their products. I chose:

L’Angelica Eye Contour Serum, 15ml, *click here to buy*

I have always been a bit apprehensive when it comes to the so-called ''eye serums,'' thinking the beauty industry is trying to make us women feel bad about our adorable crinkles. But then again, I am pushing thirty (don't tell anyone) and I believe the time has come for me to give the eye serum a shot because I have been working non-stop and it has started to show on my face (dark circles, even though I am not prone to them).

I have been using this product for almost three weeks now and it does give my skin around the eyes a silky complexion; the skin feels nourished and the dark circles are slowly fading. However, my adorable crinkles still haven’t disappeared and I seriously doubt that there is a cream in this world that would stop, or even reverse the process of aging. Which means that the crinkles are here to stay. Organic super duper eye contour serum or not. Having said all this, I would still repurchase the product.
The serum contains Rice Bran Oil (skin lightening properties) and Organic Shea Butter (provides elasticity), Extracts of Bio Lime, Chamomile & Honey and Birch and Green Tea extracts.

Extracts from controlled and certified organic farming
Only 15 ml
No coloring agents
Retails at 13,99 €, which is a bit pricy, considering the fact that it’s only 15ml.
No parabens
Because it's organic, the durability is only 12 months.
No phenoxyethanol
Because it's organic, it has to be kept in a dry and cool place, which means that in the summer you won't be able to take it with you on a holiday, because the outdoor heat would damage the contents.

No irritating detergents

No triethanolamine

100 % natural

Smells really nice and fresh

L’Angelica Purifying Tonic, 250 ml *click here to buy*

I have to say that this is the best skin purifying product I've had so far. The product smells so nice and fresh and my skin feels really smooth and nourished afterwards. I would seriously recommend this product to anyone. It's 100% organic, meaning the durability is only 12 months but I promise you that you won't be able to get enough of it. It retails at 7.39 €, which I think is a bargain for 250 ml. The Bio Orange extract purifies the skin and restores its natural lipid balance, while the Bio Chamomile and Lime extracts enhance skin elasticity.

Butterfly Collection Black Liquid Eyeliner, 4.5 ml *click here to buy*

I am very distrustful of brands I have never heard of. This is definitely one of those brands. But I have decided to give it a go because my old one, the Revlon Liquid Eyeliner, was making the skin around the eyes itch. I am glad I took a risk because it has totally paid off – my skin around the eyes is fine now.

The product retails at 2.55 €, which is almost nothing. It's incredibly long-lasting; I don't have to do any touch-ups! However, the eyeliner could be a bit more pigmented. But I would definitely repurchase the product and I would recommend it to anyone.

All in all, I am very pleased with the Bodizenska.si services, as they also deliver the products within 24 hours :)

Hope you found this review helpful.

Apple Cake Recipe

3 whole eggs
300 g sugar
100 g butter
150 ml milk, any kind
250 g flour
½ tsp soda bicarbonate
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 grated lemon zest
1,5 kg sour apples
1.       Mix the eggs with sugar in one bowl, until the sugar is completely dissolved and eggs become frothy.
2.       Mix the oil, milk, flour with soda in another bowl until smooth.
3.       Cut the apples into slices, add the vanilla essence and lemon zest, you can dribble a bit of lemon juice on the apples to prevent them from turning brown.
4.       Carefully mix the egg mixture into the flour mixture. Do not beat too hard, otherwise the dough won't properly rise when baked.
5.       Grease the tart pan and pour the dough into it. Put the apple slices on top and decorate as you see fit.
6.       Bake 30 minutes at 180 C.

Bon appetit, everyone!

Merry Christmas!

Closet Confessions

I can't get enough of closet tours on Youtube, there is something magical about checking out fashionistas' closets, I totally get a kick out of it and sometimes, when I have enough time (which is rare) I would just watch closet tour video clips for... well, I lose the track of time:)

Here are some of my favorites:

Style Crush: Alexa Chung

Okay, before you say that Alexa is totally overrated and that granny style is out, I would have to side with her and say that I don't think there is a single person on this planet who can pull off the granny style and make it as smart and as sexy like Alexa Chung. I'm sorry, there's just no one else!

The disheveled I-just-got-out-of-bed hair, the perfect liquid eyeliner flick, the boarding school sweater with a bib collar, the super short shorts worn with black tights... and brogues, all of that topped with a designer tote and a navy coat. I just love it. Here  are some of my favorite Alexa styles:

Teja's Top Five

Loving right now:

1. Cillian Murphy in BBC's Peaky Blinders
I love the Peaky Blinders. After watching the first two episodes I was totally hooked!
The cast, with Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby, the leader of the Shelby clan is absolutely fantastic. The script is well written and the camera gives the viewers sheer visual pleasure with its clever angles. I can't wait for the season 2!

2. Sleeping...
...because it feels soooo gooood:)

3. Coffee...
...because otherwise I would be doing what the kitty is doing:)

4. The Great Gatsby
I hated the book when I was in high school, cramming for my finals but now,
ten years later, I love it.

5. Frida Kahlo
She was one of the greatest artists of the 20th century
and I admire her courage and perseverance not only as an artist, doing her own thing,
but also as a person, struggling with several health problems.
