A little trip back to the socialist Yugoslavia:)

I can say without a doubt that ''TOZD'' is my new favourite cafe in  Ljubljana:) I love the interior design. I just... love everything about it - it's filled with vintage objects from the times of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, mostly from the 1950s and 1960s. The entire feel is really homey and it just takes me back to my childhood, before the times of the capitalism (yeah, for the ones who are reading this and are not from the former Yugoslavia countries - there is such a thing the times before the capitalism:))

By the way, for those who do not know what the acronym TOZD stands for - it stands for: Temeljna Organizacija Združenega Dela, which roughly translates onto The Basic Organisation of the Worker's Assemby:) Hell-o socialism;) hehe:)

The cartoon that you see on the blackboard is called ''La Linea''. It comes from Italy and and it was very popular in Yugoslavia. I used to watch it as a kid all the time:)

Who needs a cofee table if you got an old looking box thingy?

I love this shade of blue, goes so well with the warm tones of orange and terracota tiles

Remember these scales? There used to be a whole bunch of these on the market when I went shopping with my mom. So much funner then the electronic ones!

And in the end - why not? Let's play a tune or two;)

Hope you enjoyed this post,

love,

Teja xoxox

  2. TOZD je res simpatičen, mal yougo nostalgije. Drugač pa kul fotke, mislim, da pokažejo pravo dušo TOZD-a:)
